Sophia Beadle, 21 works in the arts. She says: ‘When I was growing up in Low Fell I was able to go to theatre and dance classes and they changed my life. The Lib Dems plans for a new Youth Service are about giving opportunities like this to every young person and not only those whose parents can afford it. It’s one way of making life a little less unfair and a lot more enjoyable for people growing up in Gateshead. Working on this would be my top priority if I am elected.
